Still undefeated if you actually bet the games…There was a pitching change in the Atlanta/Pittsburgh game which canceled the bet. The Tampa Bay/Baltimore game was postponed, and the Phillies/Nationals game was an easy winner.
Record now 5-0, for +5.0 units
For those of you are familiar with the rules of over/under betting this will not be any new info for you. When you make an over/under baseball bet at a sportbook, you will see something like this:
| Sport / Period: | MLB Baseball / Game |
| Line: | Pittsburgh Pirates/Atlanta Braves 4/3/2008 7:10:01 PM - (EST) Over 9½ -110 |
| Pitchers: | Z Duke -L - Must Pitch M Hampton -L - Must Pitch |
That last line (with MUST PITCH for both pitchers) means that this is a “listed pitchers” bet, which is by default for Over/Under betting at every sportsbook. In fact, you can not change to an Action bet like you can with runline and money line betting. An action bet does not specify who has to start. You can make listed pitchers bets for Money Line and Run Line bets as well.
I only mention this to make sure no one thinks that I am pulling a fast one or anything. I use this blog as a way to track my over/under baseball system, and I find I like it better then an excel spreadsheet. I am not here to tout you and fleece you of your money, or any other tricks the phonies and fakes scamdicappers like to try and pull. This was a cancelled bet. Here is what the top half of my ticket looked like:
Wager details for ticket number 19639289-1:
| Wager Type: | Total |
| Wager Status: | Cancelled |
| Risk / To Win Amount: | 55.00 / 50.00 (USD) Accepted 4/3/2008 6:45 PM - EST |
| Amount Lost: | 0.00 |
| Amount Refunded: | 55.00 |
If someone would like to add a comment agreeing with me, I would appreciate it a lot.
MLB Over/Under picks for Friday’s games:
Colorado/Arizona Over 10.5 +105
Pittsburgh/Florida Over 9 -120 (up to -135 already at some places)
Both the Seattle/Baltimore game and the Yankees/Tampa Bay game should be both Over plays (openers are at 9 for Seattle and 10 for the Yankees) but both are off the board right now. Will update those before game time

What I really like about this system is that it takes the guessing and hoping out of the equation. Teams will struggle from time to time. My system has a lot of parameters, and none of them are feeling from me.
Not saying I don’t hope they score a lot of runs after I place the bet, but there is no on-the-fly handicapping for any of the picks.
